Higher academic degree (PhD or medical equivalent)
Demonstrated experience or potential in academic leadership
Possess in-depth understanding of the discipline to enable the development of new knowledge, innovation and understanding within the field
An international research profile in the relevant field
People management skills; the ability to nurture a collaborative, inclusive and supportive environment
A significant track record of research income generation as PI
A demonstrable commitment to an inclusive, diverse and collegial approach to education and research.
Experience of interdisciplinary research

Previous leadership/management experience with measurable impact
Manages resources through effective delegation and evidence of managing the performance of others to achieve required goals
Experience in recruitment and selection of high calibre staff
Experience of developing a strategic plan and accompanying budget responsibility
Experience of working internationally or of leading staff in international settings
Evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
Supervision of undergraduate projects and/or postgraduate research students.
