Minimum Master’s in discipline area and DELTA or equivalent higher level teaching qualification.

An outstanding educational profile in the broad area of EAP and pathway programmes, including clear evidence of strategic thinking and contributing more widely to sector development.

Understanding of the discipline and markets we operate in, including a demonstrable track record of effective innovative educational development which clearly meets the needs of a changing and highly competitive student market.

Demonstrable evidence of successful leadership experience, including having led large teams, having managed sizeable budgets, having formulated and implemented innovative educational strategy and having developed clear business plans.

Evidence of an inclusive and enabling leadership style with a proven commitment to fostering collaboration and teamwork, and of forging positive and productive relationships across many different groups.

Experience of embedding diversity, inclusion and equality into departmental operations and educational delivery.

Experience of leading successful external validation such as British Council accreditation and ensuring effective overall quality assurance.
